 Throughout the duration of this film, my goal was to touch on a topic that branches out in so many different topics. Whether it be depression, neglect, miss treatment, character development, ignorance. All things that many people do struggle with. Being able to represent these different issues through a directors standpoint, or even an editors standpoint was definitely a struggle, but it was worthwhile. I feel my group members, and I worked really hard throughout this entire process to make sure that these different things represented, even through the music used in the film and the actors. But most of all the time and energy put into making this film come to life.   The film itself played a very big role on representing social issues. Especially social groups.  People who may be living in poverty or people who may come from troubled household or surround themselves with not so good people or who allow themselves to be influence by not so good people. Rises the Moon

 Back to the musicality of the film. Right now my group and I are trying to find the time to film so in the meanwhile I am trying to find music. There is this song by this independent artist called "rises the moon" by liana flores. The song is soft and gentle and can add some comfort to the death. It would really bring out the emotion of the storyline. Sometimes I get scared and feel like our filming wont match the vision in my head so I have to make sure I have other things that can help, such as music, costuming, editing and all those other things. Anyways I went online to look for Liana's record label which is how I found out she was independent. She is also not from here so a lot of her music is not in english, unlike the one that I want. A musical

 We are doing Matilda the musical! It is cutting into a lot of school time, and we knew by the time we finished the musical the quarter would be up. We decided to go do some filming when we weren't called. We went to publix to get the first scene. It was hard I am not going to lie, it was very hard. Eventually we figured it out and got some kind of scene but I had to poop so bad. That wasn't appropriate but It was bothering me the whole day. Another thing I wanted to mention was the fact that I live in florida, my whole group lives in florida. It was hot. Like it was incredibly hot and sticky and I never wanted to experience such nastiness ever again. We sorta got some scenes. To be real we were slacking in filming because of everything that has been going on but we will persevere. Anyways, we got the Publix's lady to give us permission to film us but she was doing to much. She didn't want to listen to squat and I t was making me mad but I couldn't exactly complain

Entiled Brats

 As of right now, it is time to start filming. Although this is correct, my main focus right now has been the music. The storyline of the film concludes with a death, so I wanted the music to symbolize that. There is a song called "Fourth of July" by Sufjan Stevens. The song talks about a boy who lost his mother at a young age and how he believes that human should just live life and not take people for granted because of how someone can just go. I loved the song and how it started and felt it was perfect with the last few scenes so I went online and emailed the label, and about three days I get an email back. It was the stupidest thing ever. I get this email while hiding in the bathroom at work so it's just a lot to take in at once. Mind, this song came out in like 2014 and people only know it because of TikTok. They email me back and say that I need to pay 500 dollars for rights, which is pretty entitled and that doesn't guarantee me rights, then they said they need

  Scene 1 Box 1- Rachel at the check out counter with an Mis Box 2- Asks cashier for price Box 3- Cashier takes onion and checks price  Box 4- Rachel says she can’t afford it Box 5- Cashier doesn’t care, go to another place  Box 6- Rachel gets frustrated and leaves Scene 2 Box 1- Rachel goes home and puts stuff down on the counter Box 2- Mom gets off the coach and walks towards her Box 3- Mom ask Rachel where’s she has been showing concern Box 4- Rachel Denys her mothers concerns, and begins to speak  Box 5- Mom cuts Rachel off to ask about the onion Box 6- Rachel says she didn’t get it and gives her mom a dollar Scene 3 Box 1- The mom starts getting pissed off, gets verbally aggressive  Box 2- Rachel starts to walk away Box 3- Mom follows still yelling Box 4- Rachel annoyed ended up yelling back at her mom Box 5- They keep going back and forth until Rachel closes and locks the door Box 6- She starts kicking and screaming in frustration, until she is finally calm Scene 4 Box 1- Rachel

The Motion of The Film

The process of the short film titled "A happy ending" or filming any film would need things like a location, props, actors, health and safety, costumes, a schedule and of course a backup plan. Schedule- As for schedule, we are still working on it. we wanted to finalize all filming and wrap up editing by the end of spring break so that when come time to turn in the short film, we are more than prepared. Location-For Location, we were thinking of filming in thee standard places. A supermarket(Publix), Nyla's house, a parking lot at Nyla's house, an a park with pretty lights. There will probably be other places like down the street but those will all be scenes leading up to arriving at those specific Locations. We plan on utilizing each location at different times of the day seeing as we want o use the lighting to help represent the characters emotion Participants- As of right now, our participants consist of Nyla, David, Nyla's mom, and Rashell.
