First filming day blog

Image
Today I started my filming for my water bottle commercial. I feel really confident in my project and I do think that it's going to do well. The person I was filming with was very cooperative and shared a lot of the same creative differences. I am working alone but I did need someone to film, so I asked my closest friend who happens to run track. The sun was hot but my clips were nice. I used some props from the shed out on the field so that I can have a nice video. My main prop was a water bottle but I had the blocks, and some spikes. I also had a sports bag to carry the spikes in and they were really nice. I couldn't  be happier with my project and I hope it turns out nicely and that I can edit this to the best of my ability. I was lucky to run into coach Martin to let me get into the shed and use the blocks because if he didn't, I would've been pissed. Thankfully we got into the shed though. The person that I was working with was really into my directing skills, whic

Box 1 The first scene is going to be with my main actor throwing down their bag along with my product you also will be seeing them getting ready to be active. It is meant to grab the watchers attention and will be kept later throughout the commercial. Box 2 The second scene involves the main actor getting prepared to run. This scene will be a little longer then any other cut scene because the runner has a long process to get ready. It is also a nice sight to see (amazing way to keep the eyes of the audience attached) Box 3 The main actor begins to get active. They will be running diversely through a change of scenes. Box 4 The main actor begins to use the product. Drinks the water that he previously threw down with his stuff. It is supposed to give a feeling of refreshment. This is used to make it seem as if the product will make you feel better when dehydrated or after a workout. Box 5 The actor begins the throw the empty bottle down and continues to walk away Box 6 The last scene w

Props: Seeing as this is a Zephyrhills commercial, my main prop would be a water bottle. Other props would include, basketballs. Costumes: Seeing as we would be exercising and doing physical activity, the costume would consist of athletic clothes. I am working alone so I would probably wear some shorts and a t-shirt to do some working out in. Schedule: On 9/22, I will research my commercial topic On 9/22, I will plan my commercial On 9/28, I will create my storyboard 9/30-10/4, I will film my commercial 10/6-10/8, I will edit my blog 10/8 is the commercial Locations:  The first place I want to go to is the track, and have myself run so that I can get tired and sweaty. Then I will drink some good water!  Second place I want to go to is the gym, so I can pretend I'm good at basketball for a good shot. Do some dribbling, and try to make some hoops. Backup plan: If it rains, then I would run up the stairs instead of on the track to get  decent shot of me doing some kind of cardio.

Research: Commercial Conventions and Codes

I am doing a Zephyrhills water bottle commercial. Normally you'd see someone doing some kind of physical activity and then drinking water afterwards. (Running, playing basketball, going for hikes, biking, etc.) They would wear exercising attire, such as joggers, tights, sport bras, loose shirts, and biker shorts. Props would be, bicylces, basketballs, of course water bottles, and people. They would appear parched, tired, sweaty. Some would look sporty, or like in shape. The score would be a nice light-hearted sound, since water isn't supposed to be some hard core thing. Convention and codes in a Zephyrhills commercial would be the name of the brand and the outline of the state of Florida.  In the commercial props aren't always necessary but they do try their best to show the water bottle itself. Normally the commercial would emphasize the benefits of the water and where it comes from. They would speak about how clean the water is and how thirst quenching.

Group Blog

So I'm back, and there was supposed to be this group project but I decided to work alone. It may be stupid of me to want to work alone but that's not true. As an individual I feel it is important to work independently at times. It strengthens my ability to figure things out on my own and to give myself credit where it's due. This particular project is undeniably easier with a group to work with, which is another reason why I am working alone. I find it important to work alone at times like this because I feel that it will challenge me intellectually. I will be doing an entire commercial by myself and I want to pass. So when people see that I passed my assignment, they're going to go, "wow, she did that by herself?!". Another really critical reason as to why I want to work alone is so I don't have to worry about settling creative difference with group members. Intertwining my idea's with another's is not a problem at all. It's more or less

My name is Rashell Broderick, I am a sophomore living in Broward County, Florida. I particularly enjoy the performing arts. I was raised with a dad who was into singing, so I adapted to him always singing around the house and playing so many different types of music that eventually, I ended up forming a bond with music myself. Joining school choirs became a thing that I enjoyed doing, but something I didn't know was that when you know how to sing, schools want you too act. I became accustom to doing plays and musicals, which also lead to me doing dancing as well. I can't dance but I love trying and I love watching Dance Moms. Singing, Acting, and Dancing go hand in had and also make up the performing arts. Which is why I decided I decided to join the theater club at my school Fort Lauderdale High.       I attend Fort Lauderdale high and this is my second year. I'm in the Cambridge program, which is a program where you take and pass seven Aice classes in order to earn
