Creative Critical Reflection

Image
Creative Critical Reflection 1.       How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? My product challenges conventions because it shows that when you go outside to exercise, or to do some form of physical activity. You don’t need some fancy water bottle or like an energy drink. You can survive with a simple bottle of water and do what you need to do. I used Zephyrhills water, because it is probably one of the most hated, and basic brands of water. But I love it, and I know other people who love it. I wanted to represent people who get judged for the type of water they drink and use water like Zephyrhills.   2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?   My product engages with people in a strange way. I had the focus of my video be the actor while showcasing the water bottle a few times. The water bottle was shown towards the end of the video. The purpose of that

My commercial

Image
I am very proud of how this came out, especially under some circumstances. I hope the next project I do, I can show more of my creativity and show more of what I am capable of. This project didn’t give me the full ability to portray that but I feel I tried my best. I cannot wait for the next video, I already have my ideas and everything. I really struggled with picking my prop for the commercial. Everyone was doing gatorade or like sports drinks. I decided to be a little original and use water. I don’t know if that makes the most sense but I still did it. Hopefully this gets a good grade, and people like it. I love AICE mediastudies.

Struggling to edit (editing prt2)

Image
Hi, so I already started this blog and finished it but something happened with the technology causing the whole thing to delete! It is so frustrating but I have finished my commercial. Last week I was talking about how hard it was to edit my blog because my content wasn't the best because of the actor I used. He really does piss me off. Nonetheless I did finish. I am not completely sure how to show my commercial but on Friday I was in the car with a terrible headache on the way to my god sisters birthday party and I was trying to edit in the car but my mother had the music blasting. It was so annoying. I decided to just blog instead but even then I was frustrated. Sometimes she makes me want to drop out but I cannot afford to do that. It was pretty hard to her my music, it was hard to arrange my clips. Like everything was lowkey hard but I got majority of it done. I just need to get the last clip edited and I'm good. I tried uploading a picture on Friday and man it did not work

Figuring Out what Software to Use!(first day editing)

Image
Today my editing was simple, seeing as the program I am using doesn't take up too much of my energy. I had trouble finding a nice audio but I found one. The editing today was more or less revolving around getting my timing and cut scenes correct. I wanted to do the entire thing in one day but that required way to much energy so instead I kind of just did half. I think my commercial will give off pretty cinematic vibes and will wow the watchers. My video revolves around a water bottle so for my commercial to be "cinematic" its kind of cool. I wasn't sure if the software I use to edit on should be different but I realized people pay a lot of money to make edit on apps like Final cut pro, and after effects, when they could use stuff like Capcut or Funimate for free. By the way, I guess since my computer doesn't recognize the names of the software, it's putting a red line underneath them but I added them to dictionary so go me! Lol, but back on topic, I don

Filming pt2

Image
I definitely had an interesting day when it came to filming. I made a huge mistake with casting so I had to completely film all over again. The person i filmed with was so complicated to work with and I definitely will not be asking to film with him ever again. I got all my shots in one day surprisingly but that's only because I wanted it all over with. He didn’t listen and he was very demanding. It was hard to teach him certain things but Its fine. I wouldn’t have been in that situation if I had payed attention to directions. Now I’m dreading editing but only because of what i am editing. Hopefully the editing makes up for today’s filming. I honestly hope I’m not getting judged for this, but when it comes to film and editing, I like to be perfect and if not near to it. Today was definitely neither. I think the worst part was the heat. Its hot and I'm working with people who don’t follow directions. Its not like it was their film. they finished their work. Why were they being
