  • Tracking Shots (always following the main character some where)
  • Pan (main character maybe being followed from the side)
MIS-EN-SCENE- not a lot of this in an opening sequence but when there is it’s normally…
  • costumes are pretty casual teenage clothing, nothing out if the ordinary 
  • makeup is natural, nothing dramatic unless the character has a specific look to portray
  • props would be based on scenes, if they are at school then they’d have a bag, or a phone
  • lighting all depends on location, and the mood of the scene. sadder scenes, darker lighting. happier scenes, brighter lighting
  • the acting always depends on the plot, which is normally depending on whether the main character is a girl or boy
  • if there is acting in the opening sequence, then it would probably be acting that misleads the audience from what the actual plot of the movie is
Editing- 
  • editing is a huge one. Most opening sequences in coming to age films are just editing. If the coming to age film is a movie surrounding a girl finding here way through high school, you will probably see a montage of girl products like makeup, clothes, boys, magazines and what not. Each product while find a way to present the main actors, producers and directors. 
  • Sometimes opening sequences in live action coming of age movies are animated into something that symbolizes a significant part of the plot, or vibe the movie should give off
Sound- The sound is always the same, unless the movie is sad which is rare. The music is always a upbeat, lively song that is hinting at some kind of action or excitement

-Edge of seventeen
-Lady Bird
-Driving Lessons
-Superbad

I love the incorporation of live action in opening sequences, it isn't teasing. We get to see our characters and get an understanding of the film before it starts 

I don’t like the type of music, because sometimes the music has nothing to do with the plot

 I really got to work on my blogging. It is very dumb how I keep slacking off from trying to get these blogs done. I also remembered that you’re not supposed to use the word “we” while blogging and that made me so mad. I used the word “we” so many times. I fail to keep you guys updated on this journey, that would be bad. I would cry myself to sleep. But yeah, filming has been pretty delayed and I’ve been trying to get some things together. I mean I already messed up on the filming process the first time and the second time and right now David and I are on the third time and just trying to get it done. By the way while typing this I use the word “we” three times and had to go back and delete it. First filming day blog

 Today I started my filming for my water bottle commercial. I feel really confident in my project and I do think that it's going to do well. The person I was filming with was very cooperative and shared a lot of the same creative differences. I am working alone but I did need someone to film, so I asked my closest friend who happens to run track. The sun was hot but my clips were nice. I used some props from the shed out on the field so that I can have a nice video. My main prop was a water bottle but I had the blocks, and some spikes. I also had a sports bag to carry the spikes in and they were really nice. I couldn't  be happier with my project and I hope it turns out nicely and that I can edit this to the best of my ability. I was lucky to run into coach Martin to let me get into the shed and use the blocks because if he didn't, I would've been pissed. Thankfully we got into the shed though. The Motion of The Film

The process of the short film titled "A happy ending" or filming any film would need things like a location, props, actors, health and safety, costumes, a schedule and of course a backup plan. Schedule- As for schedule, we are still working on it. we wanted to finalize all filming and wrap up editing by the end of spring break so that when come time to turn in the short film, we are more than prepared. Location-For Location, we were thinking of filming in thee standard places. A supermarket(Publix), Nyla's house, a parking lot at Nyla's house, an a park with pretty lights. There will probably be other places like down the street but those will all be scenes leading up to arriving at those specific Locations. We plan on utilizing each location at different times of the day seeing as we want o use the lighting to help represent the characters emotion Participants- As of right now, our participants consist of Nyla, David, Nyla's mom, and Rashell.
