Guess Who’s Backkk


 Heyyy pookies, I am back and better and ready to give this year a run for its money. As I have already established my name is Rashell Broderick and I am back for Aice Media Studies A level. I could never be more excited than I am now and that is a prove fact, some things about me that readers should know are… I am a sophomore living in Broward County, Florida. I particularly enjoy the film/tv production and the performing arts. The last project I did was the As level class work. It was pretty exciting. During that experience I really learned how to portray a story through different forms of editing and camera shots. The way I had to get different angles and I had to watch the time I filmed helped me realize that filming wasn’t something simple. I also learned that filming isn’t something that you want to do by yourself. It is possible to do it by yourself but you need actor’s, someone to edit, give tips, it’s not an easy task. Hopefully for this project, whatever partner I have can recognize that. The final task will not be simple and I need all hands on deck.

     I used to believe the scariest part of this class was working with other people but I think its meeting the deadlines. Last year was definitely a lot of stress because I felt like I couldn’t get anything done on time but that wasn’t the case. I’m in the Cambridge program and some may say that, if you're in the Cambridge program then you're smart or an advanced student and I agree. So if I can’t turn in some work on time than what kind of Cambridge student would I be. I chose to take Aice media studies because in my I want to major in film, if I can’t pass this class then i’m kissing that career path goodbye. I pray that this final year challenges me but I also succeed. This year is going to be awesome, and I cannot wait for y’all to find out who I am working with. This is going to be great!

 I really got to work on my blogging. It is very dumb how I keep slacking off from trying to get these blogs done. I also remembered that you’re not supposed to use the word “we” while blogging and that made me so mad. I used the word “we” so many times. I fail to keep you guys updated on this journey, that would be bad. I would cry myself to sleep. But yeah, filming has been pretty delayed and I’ve been trying to get some things together. I mean I already messed up on the filming process the first time and the second time and right now David and I are on the third time and just trying to get it done. By the way while typing this I use the word “we” three times and had to go back and delete it. It’s so crazy how I was just talking about having a trouble with using that word and then I used it while explaining the fact that I use it when I should not. First filming day blog

 Today I started my filming for my water bottle commercial. I feel really confident in my project and I do think that it's going to do well. The person I was filming with was very cooperative and shared a lot of the same creative differences. I am working alone but I did need someone to film, so I asked my closest friend who happens to run track. The sun was hot but my clips were nice. I used some props from the shed out on the field so that I can have a nice video. My main prop was a water bottle but I had the blocks, and some spikes. I also had a sports bag to carry the spikes in and they were really nice. I couldn't  be happier with my project and I hope it turns out nicely and that I can edit this to the best of my ability. I was lucky to run into coach Martin to let me get into the shed and use the blocks because if he didn't, I would've been pissed. Thankfully we got into the shed though. The Motion of The Film

The process of the short film titled "A happy ending" or filming any film would need things like a location, props, actors, health and safety, costumes, a schedule and of course a backup plan. Schedule- As for schedule, we are still working on it. we wanted to finalize all filming and wrap up editing by the end of spring break so that when come time to turn in the short film, we are more than prepared. Location-For Location, we were thinking of filming in thee standard places. A supermarket(Publix), Nyla's house, a parking lot at Nyla's house, an a park with pretty lights. There will probably be other places like down the street but those will all be scenes leading up to arriving at those specific Locations.
