Genre Decision- Coming of Age!

 


 We decided that a coming of age film was the appropriate genre that matched our pitch. A coming of age doesn’t always have to match a specific criteria, so it would be easier to incorporate different things into the opening sequence without it being considered unorganized. The music is also a choice that we can make, with the proper permission. Seeing as we can use a song with or without words because both tend to be normal for those kinds of blogs. The costuming and acting is entirely off of what we decide to make our story about. Coming if age is honestly the simplest and easiest to work with. Out other two choices were drama and comedy. We can easily incorporate both if those into a coming of age and kill three birds with one stone. At first we felt as if it would be hard to try and incorporate all of that into one sequence but we realized that if we did coming of age, we wouldn’t even have to incorporate “all” of anything. Our final decision is coming of age.

 I really got to work on my blogging. It is very dumb how I keep slacking off from trying to get these blogs done. I also remembered that you’re not supposed to use the word “we” while blogging and that made me so mad. I used the word “we” so many times. First filming day blog

 Today I started my filming for my water bottle commercial. I feel really confident in my project and I do think that it's going to do well. The person I was filming with was very cooperative and shared a lot of the same creative differences. I am working alone but I did need someone to film, so I asked my closest friend who happens to run track. The sun was hot but my clips were nice. I used some props from the shed out on the field so that I can have a nice video. My main prop was a water bottle but I had the blocks, and some spikes. I also had a sports bag to carry the spikes in and they were really nice. I couldn't  be happier with my project and I hope it turns out nicely and that I can edit this to the best of my ability. I was lucky to run into coach Martin to let me get into the shed and use the blocks because if he didn't, I would've been pissed. Thankfully we got into the shed though. The Motion of The Film

The process of the short film titled "A happy ending" or filming any film would need things like a location, props, actors, health and safety, costumes, a schedule and of course a backup plan. Schedule- As for schedule, we are still working on it. we wanted to finalize all filming and wrap up editing by the end of spring break so that when come time to turn in the short film, we are more than prepared. Location-For Location, we were thinking of filming in thee standard places. A supermarket(Publix), Nyla's house, a parking lot at Nyla's house, an a park with pretty lights. There will probably be other places like down the street but those will all be scenes leading up to arriving at those specific Locations.
