Researching a Music Video!
My partner and I decided on doing a dramatic romance based music video. Using the song "Cry me a river " by Justin Timberlake. The song revolves around a boy who is being chested on , and he feels betrayed. He finds out the hard way and suffers for it . They go through turmoil throughout the video. But in the end it pulls them apart.
- The clothing would normally be based on where you are, and the temperature (beach, mall, park, movie theaters) most popular but it doesn't matter
- There is always a main focus (two people with romantic tension)
- Background characters who kind of help move the story line along
- Camera angles really just depend on your creative differences
- There always seem to be some kind of switching between scenes dramatically
- There is normally a lot of over the shoulder shots, point of view shots and 2 person shots. It helps tell the story. The people in the video also tell the story
- There are no specific props, because the characters are telling the story.
- The acting has to be on point, although the song is the story, if the characters dont bring the song to life. There will be no actually story.
