Research: Commercial Conventions and Codes

I am doing a Zephyrhills water bottle commercial. Normally you'd see someone doing some kind of physical activity and then drinking water afterwards. (Running, playing basketball, going for hikes, biking, etc.)

  • They would wear exercising attire, such as joggers, tights, sport bras, loose shirts, and biker shorts.
  • Props would be, bicylces, basketballs, of course water bottles, and people.
  • They would appear parched, tired, sweaty. Some would look sporty, or like in shape.
  • The score would be a nice light-hearted sound, since water isn't supposed to be some hard core thing.
  1. Convention and codes in a Zephyrhills commercial would be the name of the brand and the outline of the state of Florida.
  2. In the commercial props aren't always necessary but they do try their best to show the water bottle itself.
  3. Normally the commercial would emphasize the benefits of the water and where it comes from. They would speak about how clean the water is and how thirst quenching.
